Meet Quamay “Intak3” Sams

Yoga Educator • Movement Artist • Mindfulness Coach

Quamay “Intak3” Sams is an eternal student of movement and a Vinyasa-based yoga instructor devoted to helping others reconnect to themselves through mindful embodiment. His mission is simple yet profound — to guide individuals into the study of self, cultivating gratitude for the body and awareness through intentional movement.

Quamay began his yoga journey in the summer of 2016, using yoga and mindfulness as tools to navigate mental health and heal developmental trauma. Over time, his curiosity expanded beyond the mat — drawing inspiration from yoga philosophy, neuroscience, and exercise science — blending modern understanding of the body with timeless spiritual practice.

After earning his 200-hour certification in Power Vinyasa, Quamay began teaching in his home city of New York, where his classes quickly became known for their precision, presence, and purpose. In 2018, his pursuit of deeper study led him to the Bay Area, where he trained under renowned teacher Jason Crandell, completing his Advanced 500-hour certification in 2020.

Today, Quamay shares his work through the i3 Yoga System+, a method designed to strengthen, mobilize, and awaken practitioners through mindfulness, movement science, and embodied awareness. His teaching blends skillful sequencing, anatomical intelligence, and grounded philosophy — inviting students to move not just with effort, but with understanding, presence, and empowerment.
